Rape, Trafficking of Hindu Women Rampant in Tea Gardens of Jalpaiguri

Hindu workers are living in an abject poverty in tea gardens in North Bengal; they are being deprived of basic amenities and are also getting victims to the rising tentacles of Islamic fundamentalism. It has come to knowledge, Hindu workers in the tea plantations are having a wage of Rs. 95 (at best) daily – an unbelievable wage structure (if vehemently rising market prices are kept in mind) to enable a single individual to live healthily, not to speak of maintaining an entire family.

What do they do in case of illness? Hapless Hindus have no other option other than moving to nearest urban centres to get the basic treatment; neither the tea estates provide any such facility nor there is any such planning with them (at the moment) for the future.

To make the story worse, Hindu families, especially their womenfolk, are becoming easy preys of lusts of Muslims. The number of Muslim laborers has risen exponentially in the last few years and if secret reports of various organizations are counted on, their thumping increase is stimulating owners of tea gardens to be unsupportive to the Hindu workers.

The pathetic experience of Priyanka Kiro, daughter of A. Kiro, is not an eye-opener only but is enough to send a shudder through the spine also. The innocent Hindu girl was virtually raped by a Muslim goon, named Ashfaq, at Rahimabad tea estate in Dooars (District: Jalpaiguri) a week before the last Kalipuja. Even if the aged father tried his best to get support from police, he is yet to have any and Priyanka remains shell shock until now.

As per our studies, this is not any stray incident but is becoming a regular feature almost. About five years back, one daughter of the same family had been molested by Muslim crooks and at that time too, administration denied to extend any support to the wretched family.

It’s getting dangerous for Hindu women to save their dignity in Rahimabad tea estate along with in several other estates. While on one hand, fear of violation by Muslim culprits reigns supreme among Hindu women, women’s trafficking (of Hindu women in particular) has reached an all-time high in the area. Local people have confirmed that Muslim agents are increasing their strengths by leaps and bounds, enticing helpless Hindu women by promising them good jobs but are selling them to brothels across India for Rs 80,000 to 1,20,000 rupees each ultimately.

Islamic Fundamentalism Rising in North Bengal

Drastic changes are taking place in the realm of Jalpaiguri, North Bengal, stealthily; Hindu-dominated areas (erstwhile) are being changed by escalating Muslim population swiftly leading to a rapid transformation in the vicinity as regards culture, food habits.

This startling report has come to the fore owing to a painstaking study of Hindu Samhati.

Following (recent) Assam violence in 2012, a large number of Muslims entered areas falling under P.S. Shamuktala and P.S. Kumargram, Block: Kumargram, District: Jalpaiguri. A refugee camp was also established for them under the auspices of governmental agencies, recorded to shelter a large number of them. Even if the camp was disbanded a few weeks later officially and a lots of dwellers there went back, many preferred to remain with their relatives. Unfortunately a news was published in mainstream media of return of Muslims en masse to Assam; the report was far from truth.

And the scenario in the vicinity is changing as a result. As fresh reports are coming in, Muslims are not remaining silent but expressing strong desires to marry Hindu girls for their own expansion exclusively. With this end in view their nefarious designs are fortifying day in and day out and they have been successful in a few cases too by now.

Rapid changes are being perceived in tea gardens where Muslims are in majority – cow slaughtering is getting common here more than ever before. Moreover, when on earth aboriginal Hindus (adivasis or tribal) are protesting against these rigorous acts, they are being (both) threatened, admonished and if necessary warned of dire consequences as well.

Hindus remain confused; they neither enjoy support of the administration nor of political parties – ever ready to appease Muslims for political gains – and hence, are left in the lurch.

Fake Currency Trade by Muslims in Maldah Ravaging Bengal

Bangladesh Emerging as a Cause of Concern for India

Trade of fake notes is rampant in Maldah at the moment; success of police to have fake notes worth Rs. 11 lakh (1 lakh = 100,000)  owing to nightlong investigations (on December 11 and 12, 2012) in Vaishnabnagar and Kaliachak in the district and arrest of four Muslims in this context have revealed the dirty secrets predominating this bordering district of Bengal for decades.

Maldah happens to be a stronghold for illegal Muslim infiltrators from Bangladesh to India for decades and trade of fake Indian currency helps them to ensure their safety in India immensely – the dirty secret.

It is to be noted, Suraj Jamal Sheikh, one of the kingpins in this trade, along with a few of his accomplices was arrested by local police a few days back leading to a great sensation in the whole district. And his arrest ensured police that fake notes are entering India from across the border and spreading to the rest of country after that. Top senior police officials (on condition of anonymity) stated that the foremost aim of this endeavor is to destabilize the whole country economically and radical Muslim groups in Pakistan, Bangladesh and India are playing nefarious roles in this context.

As per both BSF and police sources, Muslim traders are using Vaishnabnagar and Kaliachak in India-Bangladesh border area as transit points. Police, while arresting Suraj Jamal Sheikh and Marful Sheikh, recovered fake notes worth Rs. 2 lakhs.

On Tuesday (December 11, 2012, at night), police arrested Iman Sheikh with fake notes Rs. 2 lakhs from Shovapur Pardenapur in Vaishnabnagar.

On Wednesday (December 12, 2012, at night), police (of P.S. Vaishnabnagar and Englishbazar) arrested 3 Muslims with fake notes worth Rs. 9 lakh. As per police sources, police nabbed two Islamists on the fateful night from Shukpara, Kumbhira, P.S. Vaishnabnagar, India-Bangladesh border area and got fake notes worth Rs. 6 lakhs from them. Both culprits (Majibar Sheikh and Ruhal Sheikh) were riding a motorbike (without any number) then; each of 600 notes found from them was worth Rs. 1000. Majibar and Ruhal live in Mohabbatpur, Kaliachak. Initial investigations of police reveal, they were going to deliver the amount from Bangladesh to any other state in India.

On the same night (December 12, 2012), police force (P.S. Englishbazar) arrested a Muslim youth, named Nawab Sharif, resident of Vaishnabnagar, from Rathbari More – fake notes worth Rs. 3 lakhs were seized from him.

Durga Puja Pandal Vandalized in North Dinajpur, Muslim Mafia Controlled Administation Persecutes Hindus

District : North Dinajpur; Police Station : Karandighi;

In Bethan village, a Durga Puja is organized each year by tribals / locals comprised of Mahato and Rajbonshis. The puja is the main celebration of this group in the village annually, in this northern district of West Bengal.

On 19th October 2012 (Panchami-5th day of Puja), the committee was approached by a grieving truck driver, who said that he was victimized by this Muslim gang 2 kms away from this area.  He claimed he was looted by them, asked the organizers for assistance in remediating this nuisance (looting, etc) by approaching the adminstration.

Several puja committee members went to this location and saw a West Bengal poice vehicle in the very spot.  They informed the police of the trucker's delemna, and enquired of reason for the lack of protection for the common people from regular looting by the Muslim robbers. The policemen asked the puja organizers to mind their own business, to return to their puja altar, or face serious consequences, which could result in the cancellation of the Durga puja itself for this club.  Later it was learned that the police in the area are deeply attached with the robbers and the local Muslim mafia.

On 20th October 2012 (Shasthi-6th day of Puja), around 11 o clock, a white vehicle arrived in front of the puja pandal, stalled there for a few minutes, and left.  This vehicle is reported to be owned by Sheikh Jaidul Rahman, who is attached with the local mosque,  and also the mafia.  The police came after the white car left the scene.  Second Officer of Karandighi Police Station, Tarun Karmakar, apparently dead drunk came with his force, and started hurling abusive words at the organizers.  He slapped the puja secretary, and when the public protested, he took out his service revolver, and called for more police backup.  Karmakar along with his officers kicked and threw the murthi of Debi Saraswati, broke the murthi of Karkick, and defiled the pandal.

It was apparent that Tarun Karmakar and his force were working under the direct influence of Jaidul Rahman.  Hindu women were abused and assulted, their saris were torn, etc.  Four organizers were arrested, and cases were given aganist them.  The arrested were Parameshwar mahato, Paresh Mahato, Bibekananda Mahatao, and Debu Mahato.

On 21st October 2012 (Saptami-7th day of Puja), the entire village of Bethan participated in the blocking of the local road system and demanded the following:

1. Persecution of the Criminals who broke the Hindu religious deities.

2. The local Muslim mafia (controlled by the area mosque) has to be apprehended and disbanded.

3. Puja Committe members have to be unconditionally released.

On 20th October, cases were given on 28 persons and 4 arrested, on the day of the road blocade, 36 persons were given cases and 1 arrested. Four persons have been released on bail, one person is
still not released as of early December.

The puja committee and local Hindu organizations have contacted Hindu Samhati for assistance on this matter, and Hindu Samhati has offered to help the village.

Administration attempts to grab temple land in Gangarampur, Dinajpur (South)

Hindus in legal battle

Keshabpur happens to be an obscure place in Gangarampur Block, District: Dinajpur (South) and remains under the purview of P.S. Gangarampur. The area enjoys a Hindu-majority for centuries and contains almost 20 Muslim families. But the same area turned out to be a hotbed of conflicts on Id-ul-Fiter (August 20 – Monday) following a weird decision of administration to permit Muslims perform namaz in an extensive yet vacant field worth 2 acres 42 shatak. No namaz was ever performed there but administration permitted Muslims in this year to go on with the same.

It is to be noted, a Shiva temple does also exist alongside the vast tract and Hindus, hence, were not ready to bear violation of the temple’s sanctity in any way. Hindus, unlike others areas in Bengal, grouped soon and when they asked police the reason behind it, it had no other way expect to evade.

To quell the situation and also mounting anger of Hindus, topmost officials of administration including District Magistrate (DM), ADM, SDO and SDPO rushed to the spot (on the same day). In the ensuing meeting at P.S. Gangarampur, DM asked Hindus regarding outburst of emotions and every word spoken by him did contain ridicule to the Hindus and their mindsets. Even if DM’s rude behavior was enough to annoy Hindus, they did not walk out.

However, when the District Magistrate stated that 7 shatak land from the vast tract would be handed over to the temple committee to carry on their religious rituals (Puja), Hindus got shocked and burst into protest afterward. Adivasi (aboriginal people) Hindus also protested strongly; even if the DM cautioned them of dire consequences, Hindus did not back out.

The issue is contentious still; Hindus have lodged a case (WP No. 21656) in the court and it’s going on.

Fiery Hindus protesting cow slaughter on Eid decry, defy police in Itahar, Dinajpur

Administration makes a shameful retreat

Areas where Islamists’ presence, let alone preponderance, was hardly visible in the earlier decades in Bengal are becoming easy preys to their burgeoning influences these days and village: Rajogram, P.S. Itahar, District: Dinajpur (North) happens to be one of those. But the fiery Hindu protest this year on Bakri Id/Eid ul-Adha has taken Islamists there by storm.

The village has been dominated by Hindus for decades and hence, it could steer clear of the blasphemy of cow slaughtering. However, the situation turned to the contrary this year owing to the insistence of a handful of Islamists (inhabiting the village) to slaughter cow (on October 27, 2012 on account of Bakri Id/Eid ul-Adha) within the village infuriating Hindus all in all.

When on earth Hindus protested against this ghastly decision, Islamists (supported by Islamists of other neighboring villages) started to warn Hindus leading to a squabble between the two warring groups.

To find out a solution, local police opted for a meeting that 5 members of each community were destined to attend. But Hindus in the meeting witnessed a heavy and vociferous gathering of 300 Islamists instead of set 5 who left no stone unturned to submerge Hindu viewpoints. And they emerged victorious to have the permission to slaughter cows but outside the village.

Later, it was learnt that Islamists got the desired permission at the behest of Kamal Acharya (local MLA of Trinamool Congress).

Hindu women were found to protest this dastardly act vehemently and how they can become CHANDI (during hour of need) manifested whenever Islamists strived to take beef into the village.

The intensity of Hindu protest was such that police personnel of local P.S. Itahar failed completely to rein in the situation. It got worse when DM of District: Dinajpur (North) arrived later on and tried to subdue Hindus. During the red-hot altercation, Hindus attacked police personnel including Officer-in-Charge of P.S. Itahar and even the District Magistrate. Witnessing the vehemence of Hindu protest, police and administration had no option except to retreat.

Tension prevails the village and opposition against Kamal Acharya among Hindus is on the rise.

Hindu family persecuted dreadfully in Malda

Political parties defend Islamists; sing to tunes of pseudo-secularism

Each and every development, these days, do prove how the dream of Hindus to retain a political dominance in Bengal is unimaginable or totally unlikely. Malda district was never a stronghold for Hindus but the condition, at least, in the earlier decades, was comparatively better. At the moment, the situation there is out of the frying pan into the fire.

On August 21, 2012, a gang of Islamists (armed with conventional and rural weapons), led by Jabbar Sheikh, attacked residence of Patanu Mandal, Hindu individual and resident of village: Nurdipur, P.S. Gajol. They were found to demand an amount of Rs. 500 from Patanu’s sons. And when they refused to give in, the brutal assault took place. Incidentally, Jabbar and other Islamists do live in the same village.

It has been learnt, Jabbar, a year back, took Patanu’s sons to a distant place for work and hence, they had to pay a definite amount of money to him. However, the entire amount was paid later on.

On the fateful day, Jabbar, at early morning, came to Patanu’s residence with his henchmen and demanded Rs. 500. Villagers asked Jabbar to end the quarrel and move away; the sole reason being Patanu and his sons’ assertion that they had paid off the remaining amount by then.

But Jabbar was the last person to heed all these, came back with a gang of Islamists (containing no less than 40 toughs) within minutes and pounced the Hindu family viciously. Aged Patanu and his wife were insulted extremely and assaulted as well. To save own lives, sons of Patanu took refuge in residence of Kamalesh Haldar, elder brother of Patanu. House of Kamalesh was attacked by Islamists, got hold of three sons of Patanu Mandal – Shanu Mandal, Bhanu Mandal and Kanu Mandal – the three were thrashed heavily and were found to bleed profusely.

The three young Hindu male persons were taken to Malda Sub-divisional hospital but they were refused outright. Later, they were submitted to the Malda District Hospital.

Political parties, as usual, irrespective of political differences, have sided with Islamists and are leaving no stone unturned to mitigate the incident and also the case. It has also come to the knowledge, police is being forced to bring the case to an end as fast as possible.

Jabbar Sheikh used to be a strongarmer working for CPM even a few months back. He has joined Trinamool Congress recently.

Sujit Maity, senior activist of Hindu Samhati, has brought the terrible incident to light.

Hindu housewife raped in Farakka

Islamist culprit- Charu Sheikh – escaping

That Hindus are not secure in the realm of District: Murshidabad has been revealed once more – a Hindu housewife, dwelling in village: Bhairavdanga (within Bahadurpur), P.S. Farakka, has been raped by an Islamist, Charu Sheikh, Dafadar by profession and also a well-known activist of Congress  party in the vicinity.

It has been learnt that the ghastly incident took place on June 26, 2012, at noon, when the said lady, mother of two kids and also member of a self-help group, on account of a brawl with her husband, was going towards Ballalpur bridge to lodge a formal complaint in the local police station. When she was near the Aabla bridge, Charu Sheikh, riding a motorcycle, appeared there and asked her where she was going. Hearing her purpose, Charu Sheikh offered her a help – the Hindu woman was free to use his motorbike to reach police station easily and faster. Charu called her as aunty; hence, she had nothing to be wary of.

The entire stretch of road is indeed noiseless and is covered by extensive lands of jute on each side.

Suddenly, Charu stopped the motorbike and started to drag her to an adjoining field of jute. The Hindu housewife pleaded (repeatedly) with him to stop and even tried her best to raise an alarm. But the very area happens to be far from the nearest locality; hence, she couldn’t prevent the Islamist and Charu Sheikh admonishing her highly (of harming her along with her children extremely) raped her again and again.

Only when Charu left the area, the Hindu housewife could get along and walked for miles till she met an individual of her own village. She went back to her village and on the next day, in the early morning, she lodged a complaint against Charu Sheikh of violating her modesty in P.S. Farakka all alone.

Like other incidents of rapes of Hindu housewives, thanks to police’s animosity, Charu is running scared at the moment. There is another most frightful aspect – police is yet to arrange a medical examination of the victim – the Hindu housewife.

Hindu Samhati meeting in Malda inspires Hindus to become more resolute

Islamic fundamentalism and its fast and unchecked growth in Malda have become a cause of concern for the Indian administration, though it does shiver to accept the same in public, and particularly for Hindus, witnessing their own destruction at the hands of Islamic perpetrators for centuries. And the situation, at this point in time, is such that any more compromise or hesitation to struggle will lead to Hindu extinction altogether. To educate and motivate Hindus so that they carry on the self-defence Hindu Samhati, led by its president, Sri Tapan Ghosh, is working tooth and nail.

This zeal was found again in the Bazar meeting at Baishnabnagar, P.S. Kaliachak, Malda on January 20, 2012. Sri Tapan Ghosh was the chief speaker in the meeting.

The village is positioned on the bank of Ganga, on the upper side of Farakka barrage and heavy rain and subsequent flood thanks to the great width of the river, every year, endanger the village a great deal. All these indicate that Hindus in the village fight in two fronts at the same instant – an alien nature and belligerent Muslim neighbors.

Is marriage of a Hindu man to a Muslim woman crime in India?

Need to take a hard stand or dump Secularism forever

The definition of secularism, as per western schools of thought, is one and simple - a doctrine that rejects religion and religious considerations or a permanent separation between religion and the state. But the same is completely missing in the Indian context at the moment where it has become more synonymous with capitulation to Islamic fundamentalism and minorityism. Myriad instances are there to prove this latest chronicle but none can put it across better than a marriage between a Hindu and Muslim. If the groom is Muslim and bride is Hindu, it’s the perfect sort of secularism but the reverse is communal indisputably.  And this alleged antithesis has become synonymous with the lot of Sandip Sarkar and his wife Nasima Yasmin who married on November 21, 2010 and authenticated in the “Special Marriage Act” on December 28, 2010.

While Sandip resides in village Salash, Tapan, P.S. Tapan, Nasima was living in Asharubasti, P.S. Chopra (both in District: South Dinajpur, Bengal) and all problems, including harassments and life threats, started once Sandip brought his wife to his ancestral residence. A complaint of kidnap has already been filed by Nasima’s parents while two MLAs, votaries of distorted secularism, Hamidur Rehman, independent MLA supported by Congress of Chopra and Bacchu Hansda, Trinamool Congress MLA of Tapan, are leaving no stone unturned to meddle in this private affair.

Nasima is courageous enough to face all these onrushes and has already complaint of a conspiracy between her parents and politicians to terminate the marriage, done by her willfully and devoid of any external pressure. As per Nasima, Bacchu Hansda had convinced her some days back to return forever and he retreated only when she threatened to commit self-annihilation. But Hamidur Rehman is more stubborn and is gnashing his teeth as a Muslim lady has married a Hindu and agrees to live as a Hindu. He has stated clearly that Sandip has got to prove his legal marriage and then a solution can be accomplished.

The newly married couple is living in abject fear of losing life and so, Sandip, working in a private mobile company in Siliguri, can’t think to go to his office even. Albeit Nasima has contacted West Bengal Commission for Women and Sm. Jyotsna Agarwal, member of the Commission, has assured that pertinent measures will be adopted fast after talking with the Chairperson, the fear refuses to die down.

Can this despair of Sandip and Nasima brought to an end? Is India for momins only?

Decisive victory of Hindus in Kaliachak, Maldah; Muslim encroachers desert Hindu lands mutely

Whether it is cremation chamber or even a small stretch of land belonging to Hindus, Muslims intrinsically remain attracted to it and leave no stone unturned to grab that land – and in such cases adoption of foul measures come first. Hundreds of such reports have already been published in this site and hence, there is no need of any justification. If Hindus, on the contrary, get united and steadfast to struggle victory is found imminent. Such a gallant success took place recently at Kaliachak No. 3 Block, P.S. Baishnabnagar, District: Maldah regarding the longtime dispute over extensive tracts of Hindus adjoining Khejurighat Crematorium (Shamsan Ghat) occupied by Muslims forcefully for years.

The Hindu strength tuned out to be too overwhelming for Muslims and they had no other option except to retreat.

The large tracts bordering Khejurighat Crematorium belong to Hindus for generations and whenever Hindus started to move to urban areas for better sources of living, parcels of land started remaining vacant. Muslims, never ready to miss a chance to oppress Hindus, captured these pieces of land without seeking permission and started various kinds of farming including wheat. Even if Hindus pleaded to the Muslim cultivators to return their lands, those were never heeded and at times, Hindus were also manhandled and even beaten.

Bolstered by the victory Muslims started creating several problems, harassing Hindu families and their pals during cremations of loved ones. And these problems, with each day it passed, were reaching new heights and became unbearable in due course.

The first initiative to form a Hindu defence against the said misdeeds was taken by Sri Harendranath Sarkar, noted Hindu activist in the environs and also president of the Khejurighat Crematorium committee , and thanks to his insistence, Hindus of the neighboring villages created a strong fold  to wage a struggle to recover Hindu tracts and make their own destiny.

A series of meetings of Hindus took place and finally on January 07, 2011, large numbers of Hindus attended a meeting in the crematorium. The valiant Hindu congregation devastated Muslims and to settle the matter peacefully Morol (age 35), Muslim leader, came forward and agreed to desert tracts of no less than 8 bighas. There is no more tension at the moment and Hindu families are jubilant to get back their ancestral lands.

The decisive victory has stimulated Hindus to a large extent.
